Elijah Zgambo is a pioneer and promoter of urban-culture arts in Zambia. A skateboarder at 16 years and break-dancer at 6 years, he is cofounder and director of Street Culture Events & Arts. Established in 2011, the organization promotes self-expression through the arts, promotes the artists, and provides solutions to society’s entertainment and recreational needs. Elijah’s focus in the organization is on business development, and product creation and development. Elijah studied Banking and Finance at the Copperbelt University in Kitwe, Zambia. He volunteers his weekends teaching young boys and girls skateboarding and dance. The two main projects he contributes to are Break Boy Movement Zambia for bboys and bgirls, and project Fenomenon (Female-Phenomenon), an all-girl dance empowerment program. Elijah plans to expand his work in providing recreational activities for the youth and creating more opportunities for aspiring artists, performers, and entertainers.
